TK Newsletter

Dear Family and Friends,

This is our last full week of school.  I just have to keep reminding you that I am SO proud of each of your kids.  I have watched them grow and mature these last few months.

This week we are focusing on:

  • God gave us animals
  • Farm Animals/Farm
  • Animal Features
  • Number Review
  • Letter Review
  • Sight Word Review
This week is going by so fast!  We have a our picnic this Friday.  If you have game or activity suggestions, please email me.  We are looking for more activities for the kids to enjoy.

A couple reminders...

Wednesday, June 10 - The Little Red Hen/HOPE
  • We will be watching "The Little Red Hen" performed by our very own First Grade Class.  This is perfect because we are learning about farm animals and the different types of chicken.
  • HOPE bags are due tomorrow.  If you have food donations, please send it to school tomorrow.
Thursday, June 11 -  Inside the Outdoors
  • Inside the Outdoors (on campus field trip) will be at 10:00.  Permission slips were due TODAY.  If you forgot, please fill one out first thing at drop off tomorrow morning.  Thanks!!
Friday, June 12 - TK/K Picnic
  • Picnic will begin at 9:00 am
  • Parents are welcome to set up a canopy or umbrella, bring beach towels and/or lawn chairs, etc.
  • Parents are welcome to bring food to share.
  • TK and K will have snack and lunch provided (pizza, snack, and drink).
  • TK will end their picnic at 11:30, however, if you wish to stay longer, you may.  I will have TK line up and you may pick up your child from me and continue your picnic at 11:30.
  • If you wish to volunteer for the picnic, please e-mail me.  Volunteers will help with games, serve food, and general supervision of all children.
  • Who may attend?  All family may attend the picnic.  Only those that volunteer to assist with the children must be fingerprint cleared and safe-environment trained.
Wednesday, June 17 - Last Day of School
  • TK will attend their first All School Mass at 8:30 am
  • Attire:  I do ask that a clean school shirt and clean school bottoms be worn.  I do encourage your child to wear the formal uniform, but it is optional.
  • Students will be dismissed at 11:30.

Finally, a big congratulations to Joshua and his family.  A new little bundle of joy was added to their family last week.  Congratulations on having your new little boy!  :)

Please check back on this blog this week.  There are a lot of things happening and I will try to send an e-mail blast if I do have something big to remind all of you.

Again, THANK YOU for making this year a successful first year of TK!

Mrs. Paragas
